The Toyota App 2020

I bought my SR5 Premium in 2020 and I downloaded the Toyota app off the Apple App store onto my iPhone.

I don't know where to find the Android "app". I really could care less about Android stuff. That operating system is for pagans.

When you download the app you can set up your vehicle and all of the manuals will be available on your iPhone/iPad.

You can go to the top and select "My Garage" and you will be able to

• See your tire pressures.
• See your subscriptions
• Name your truck
• See the vehicles capabilities
• Schedule maintenance
• Add Maintenance History
• Select a preferred dealership
• See the maintenance history before you about the truck
• See how much gas in in the truck
• See the mileage
• Learn about your connected services

And a bunch more stuff

The rest of the app has stuff like

• Check your gas level
• Pair your phone
• Connected Services information
• Insurance Management
• SiriusXM stuff

The sad thing is this should have been standard years ago. Toyota using tech from 2005 in 2019 4runners. I get that we are buying the truck for the offroad capabilities but come on, spending 40k on a vehicle to not have Apple Carplay standard is ridiculous.

yes, we do have a hotspot but before it works, you need to have it activated with ATT. they have the unlimited plan for $25 a month or a 2GB plan for $10 a month. browse thru your screen and locate the wifi. that's where you can customize your wifi ssid and password. if your car is new, they have the 2 gigabyte free wifi, then after that you have to signup if you want to continue.

I've 3.2 Entune in my 2013 Trail which has non of that connected business. I love the fact it is not connected to anything. I suppose 1st gen would be even better if I look at it that way, but it would be off line for sure.
