The wait is killing me!

Hi everyone! I am new to the boards, and soon-to-be new to the 4Runner family! I have been patiently waiting for my 07 Limited w/ Nav to come in. In the mean time, I have been reading this board and trying to figure out which mods I want to do first!

I am sure most of you understand how waiting for the delivery of a new T4R can seem like forever. I was wondering how long it takes to get to the dealer once it arrives in port? What have your experiences been? Thanks!

Yep, waiting for a new car is tough.
Port to dealer is less than two weeks.

Yep, I wasn't about to wait the 6-8 weeks I was told for a new Limited. I got the Sport and had them add heated leather seats and a Pioneer AVIC-Z2 in dash Nav unit when they come out in March/April. I like the Katzkin leather better than the Limited leather to boot

Almost two weeks for mine. It arrived at port on 2/6 or 2/7/06, I took delivery on 2/19. I was out of town the week prior, but it got to the dealership a few days before.

Technically the wait is the BEST part of a new car. Your excitement and impatience is what makes it great. Once you get it, the excitement slowly fades away. But anyways congrats on the upcoming purchase.

I didn't wait for mine, I went to the dealer, they had one, i took it. Now the GX was the worst one. Back when I was waiting for my GX, you had no clue when a unit can be yours, it was a hell of a line for all colors, all options, etc. Luckily my sales lady knew me and she got me into a line that wasn't bad, which was the basic GX, but good enough. Took exactly a month and 3 days before I took delivery from the time I ordered. Besides, I had to trade in my RX300 before the 330 came out.

I realize that the wait is one of the fun parts of getting the exact 4Runner you want, and that is what makes the wait tolerable. This is the first new car that I have ordered the options that I wanted and not purchased what was available on the lot. I love my current car, but there is hardly a day that goes by that I don't say to my self, "I wish I got the Nav" or something like that. However, if my current car was perfect, there wouldn't be any reason for me to order a 4Runner!
Can't wait for the adventures that lie ahead!

I didn't mean anything bad about waiting. It's just, I don't like to wait, and I enjoy modding my rides, wether they have 2 wheels or 4, and putting things I like on them in colors I want that aren't on every other car.
