The worst thing EVER happened

NOOOO. Don't give up the Locker. They're out there. I'll vouch that the locker makes a giant difference over the center diff lock. Glad you're all right. I was fine after my incident although my wife kept hounding me to go to a doctor. Just me personally, I won't even look at a Runner unless it has a locker. Either way, I'm glad it will work out for ya. I get to start the fun process of swapping 2yrs of work and parts over to my new one. Keep us posted.

I agree with blaze. Settle with what you feel is right. People who say no never had pain 3-6 months post accident. It's something you may deal with forever. Little pain here little pain there. At the end it all ads up. Now that I'm in my mid 30's now and all the pain i did not feel when younger now pops up.

I hate to pile on, ok maybe I actually enjoy it. Xhim, I feel your pain albeit not directly. I spent the better part of 30 yrs in the AutoBody industry. I have seen so many people lose a vehicle they loved. For what its worth I'll chime in on the lawyer up debate.
Lawyers are NOT interested in what's best for you.
My experience is once you contract a lawyer, everything slows to a ridiculously slow pace. Why, because the Ins co will no longer deal with you, they have their litigation dept talk to your lawyer, who then consults with you, then get's back to litigation, who then takes weeks to consider, then gets back to your lawyer, who sits on it for a week then talks to you.
Then he tells you to go ahead and get a rental car(at your expense), but 3 weeks later he tells you will probably only be reimbursed for 20 days of rental. Then when you are at your wits end, he'll tell you to submit a claim to your own Ins co while you wait out the other one.

You should definitely consider an attorney if you are hurt, and the responsible insurance co isn't being responsive. Insurance companies use the term (indemnify), which they are required by law to do. That means "make whole", or in laymen's terms to put you back the way you were. So be firm, document everything, make your (reasonable) demands clearly understood and justify them with everything you can.

Okay here are a few pics. I can't believe how well it held up for rolling over!

It's been seriously hard finding a good 4wheel drive runner in my area in good condition!

I'll leave the insurance part out of this.

If you have not bought a Runner yet I would reach out to the guys hear. State what you are looking for, year color etc. No rust, Locker, Limited, SR5 what ever. Put a small bounty out for the person who finds what you are looking for a take a road trip! There are really nice 4Runners all over So-Cal for around 5-7k. It's not like most of use on hear don't spend hours a day searching CL, Autotrader,Cars.com, etc etc etc.... I'm sure we would find you a identical match. Also, go and take the parts off that truck you want NOW! I would be taking the lift, tires that are still good, seats, everything I could part out before letting it go! Glad you are ok buddy. After reading all of this I'm going to have a talk with USAA and insure my truck for a flat 12k-13k so I know I'll get what I want out of it! Not what they are willing to pay.

Really sorry to hear this, I know all too well what it's like. I got t-boned, rolled, and then the ******* took off. My truck ended up back on its tires, so I was able to jam the battery cable back in and drive it the 12 blocks or so home, even with a bent rear axle and howling tires. That was in my Hilux Surf, I was crushed to say the least.

Yours looks worse, mine didn't break any glass even, but the body was twisted. Glad to hear you're OK, I found after a few days/weeks that my wrists were buggered, so keep an eye out for symptoms that show up later, and get them looked after.

Finally found one on Ebay guys and it's only 100 miles away from me!! I bought it. Going on Saturday to check it out!!! 99 Limited 4x4 E-locker in Silver. Looks fantastic. 170k miles. 5500$ I am beyond relieved to find one this awesome! Something really good is coming out of this!. Little bad news, his insurance company is dicking me around. They offered me 4400$ for my 98 4runner with 160k miles on it. I'm going to hulk smash someone over there!!!!!

I'm in Tampa, Specifically off Fletcher Avenue and Dale Mabry HWY. He hit right in between my driver side fender and door. Popped the tire instantly. Seriously I cannot speak enough to how well it held up. Honestly I could have popped on the spare tire and probably driven it home if I had too. Windshield was gone and roof was caved in a bit but it would have driven no probelm!
