Theft* How to disable keyless remoate

Hi guys,

I was wondering if someone could tell me how to disable the keyless remote? Last night someone broke into my gym locker and stole my wallet ( which has my address from the DL) and car keys with the keyless remote.

Is there a way to disable it so they cant go to my neighborhood and start fishing for my car?

Also, how much do you think it might run to switch out the locks on the vehicle itself?

There is a procedure in the FSM involving the ignition key and pushing lots of buttons. You can reprogram your spare remote again after you disable as well--it's really one step, add the one you have and all others are locked out. It varies by year and my FSM is 1999 so I could only help with that. Search and I think you will find or post your year and if you have chip, alarm, etc. and someone can help. Good luck...
