See, as long as I don't watch it, I can remain in a superposition of states wherein both classic and quantum physics each make sense in their own little spheres and one doesn't need to mess with strings and multiple universes and particles that can tell the future and shit.

I will now be ordering that book in the near future. This is definitely some mind expanding stuff, and we aren't even doing drugs.

When I learned about quantum superposition, and the probability that every single electron in the universe could in fact all be the same one, I think my brain fell out and hit the floor.

I just read the description and a few reviews on amazon. Sounds like that might cover the more philosophical aspects of what the Theory of Everything tries to explain. This is more of an overview of the science.

Part 1 deals with new scientific understandings of what human consciousness might really be, and Part 2 deals with recent work to correlate classical physics with quantum physics, where the laws of one discipline don't hold up in the other- a so-called Unified Field Theory. Part 2 is where stuff gets REALLY mind bending.

It's an older book now and may not be as good in light of developing theory, but I liked it.

Ahhhh. Then you're going to want to check out the works of Michio Kaku.

^ Michio Kaku is awesome. He does a great job of explaining the inexplicable. he and Neil deGrasse Tyson have taught me more than I've ever learned in any science class. Plus I dont have to do math, which is nice.

I've read it. I liked it a lot, except for the geology part. I struggled through trying to have the slightest care in the world while reading that chapter lol

The title of the video MtnT4R posted reminded me of that book too.

Very interesting. I watched the whole thing. As a simple man, I will watch it again. I've always been fascinated by this subject matter, now more so. Especially interesting was the belief that time flows in one direction, hence our memories are only of the past. However this may not be. Could intuition be memories from the future...
