This is one SWEET looking vehicle. Now if Toyota would get their head out of their A$$ and put a turboed 3.5 in, it would sell like hot cakes!

That's the one they co-designed with Subaru, I think. It has a Subaru engine, although I think they are keeping it normally aspirated (?!). I am pretty sure that the Subaru one will be produced with AWD while the Toyota one will be drifter-friendly RWD. Looks like they are going more for the Lotus-like small, nimble, and light to handle well and be decently powered. It won't be a new Supra or anything I don't think. Looks pretty good though it doesn't really stand out.

I hate to say it, but the LFA (while SICK!) is way too expensive for the performance returned.

I think we are talking affordable performance ala WRX,370Z,etc. Heck even Hyundai offers the Genesis coupe with 300hp and Toyota has only a couple lightweights in the Matrix and Scion tC but otherwise they don't really offer much.
The $50k (actually was low $40k at the end) Supra now looks like a huge performance bargain 12 years later even with that '90s pricetag.
