I so wish i could get on this, but some other things came up to spend my $$ on for the 4runner.

Seriously! Haha, everytime there is a group buy on some cool shizznit, I am always saving up for standard maintenance work. Curse you ill-timed buyers!

If you feel it is too rushed, just wait it out. Theres always more group buys going on over at tacomaworld that you can piggyback on.

The Philips product will just have a better QC system in place. I've had a couple of "bad bulbs" come from TRS that I had to get warrantied immedietly. TRS has excellent customer service and getting them warrantied has never been an issue but I'm just a huge fan of the Philips. Again the TRS bulbs are still better than 95% of the Chinese ones on the market, but to me the additional reliability, performance, and bulb consistency are worth the extra money in this case.

I will soon be able to tell you about the difference first hand.

My 4runner has Phillips and den so ballasts. This weekend I'm adding morrimotto 5k + 35w ballasts to my CT-200h.

I suggested the OEM ballasts if money is not an issue. Yes you will have to seal them but its easy. They light up quicker and don't have any turn signal flicker issues.

Thanks guys for your opinion and experience. I'm all about reliability...when I do something, I only want to do it once. After reading y'all's post, I called TRS...the guy I spoke to said they have never had to replace a Philips bulb on a warranty issue.

Anyway...thanks for the help!

I think I'll do that. Not that I have an option now, but I got tied up doing fun stuff this weekend and didn't get around to doing the proper work. In a way that's fine.

I'll keep an eye on Tacoma world to see when the next one might come up. I'm not in a real hurry. Made it this long..
