Think I have my worse-than-normal fuel mileage licked

My mileage dropped over the past six months; about 2-4 MPG on average. I hand calculate and get gas at various stations in various brands so I was able to rule out ethanol content. I also keep my tires in check and had replaced my plugs (of course it would be 96k miles on the factory plugs... NOT!).

I had noticed that the car seemed to have more rolling resistance. Brakes weren't dragging. I finally took her in for all the drive train fluids to be changed and u-joint lubed. I haven't had a chance to fill the tank since but a drive today proved that she's rolling better, picking up speed downhill better, not slowing as much up hill. I knew I was overdue on the fluid changes but the difference is definitely seat-of-the-pants noticeable.

Cleaning the MAF sensor made a pretty big difference for me.

I've been meaning to do the fluids, theyve been in the barn for 2 weeks or so... Also, I see you live in good ole CC :high5:
