Think we figured out the squeaking noise

We finally took the time to check out the squeaking noises going on near the drivers side of my Runner. After removing the tires, my fiance noticed its probably the coil spring rubbing. He may have told me something else was up with it but I can't remember..lol

So heres my question. If the coil spring is being compacted somehow against the metal, would a set of spacers help and would it make the noise stop?

If you suspect the spring is squeaking on it's rubber mounts (upper and lower), just spray them liberally with some silicone spray. If the noise is still there, my guess is the squeak is coming from your upper control arm bushings.

Hm. Ok thanks. We're still kinda puzzled about it just because its only on one side.

I'm 99% sure its coming from outside. It sounds like something metal clanging/loose or something. Its really hard to describe, which is why I'm having a hard time diagnosing..lol I know what the squeaking noise is but this other noise I just described is puzzling.
