Thinking about getting a 4 Runner

Hey guys!

I currently have a 2004 Subaru WRX wagon that I've had a lot of fun with off road and rallycrossing, but I've recently had a desire for a jeep or something similar. A 4 runner appeals to me because I've always trusted toyota's reliability and I believe it would suit my needs/wants. My idea right now is to sell my car and get 9-10k and then pick up and older 4 runner and an 80s mr2 or possibly a celica. Possibly rallycrossing or autocrossing the mr2 or celica. I just wanted to get some advice or thoughts on my idea!

I just bought a 96 4runner and love it! Definitely beats the jeeps in my opinion more dependable at least. It has 212000 miles and still runs like a champ. You could probably find a good one for around 5-6 grand theres a great buyers guide that i used on the forum just search "Buyers Guide" and it should be one of the first up. As far as the other car, you gotta get the Mr2 those things are sick!! My best friend had one in high school and it was like getting into a stinking spaceship!!
