Thinking about new tires..

I just bought my 4runner and it came with nokians 265/65/17 with exc. tread life left.
I was thinking of upgrading to revos which are 265/70/17.
I'm looking for a more aggressive thread pattern and a bigger looking tire. would the 70 over 65 be much of a difference?
I'm wondering if i would even notice the difference or maybe i should save up and get the 285's. I plan on getting a lift in the near future, i know they wouldnt fit as of now.
Would the revos be worth it just for there better handling on and off road?
Any thoughts thanks.

id say , if your dead set on the 285 s later on, then just save the $, & wait until you lift it. but 265/70 will look fine/good if you do just a 2in. front lift later, plus they will fit now. the revos are a nice tire, & you will notice a slight size difference mainly because your looking for it, someone passing by probably wouldnt. but you might not like the look of the 265/70 s if you got a larger lift, say 3/2, may look like it doesnt fill the well enough. but its a matter of opinion, & how it appeals/looks to your eye.

I loved my revos for the first 30k miles, then couldnt wait to get rid of them. The started to get real bad in the rain at about 30k miles, and snow traction started to decrease. I saw no wear at all for the first 15k miles, but then they started wearing down bad. Mileage was ok, but not spectacular. I switched to the LTX M/S from Michelin, and am VERY happy with the switch. Good ride, great mileage (running at 35psi), and a sure foot.

I've heard nothing but good things about Revos. They get more praise on this site than any tire I think (with the exception of BFG KOs). Go for it. :bigok:
