Thinking about vinyl in cargo area

I was wondering if anyone has put the molded vinyl in the cargo area or the whole vehicle and does it make it louder inside?

I have the vinyl in the entire car, i assumed that it was factory, was that not a factory option, i own a 88 runner. it does run rather loud, But then i have never ridden in a 1st gen with carpet so i don't have much to compare it to, but it is nice. I don't have to worry about anything.
