Thinking of selling my Cobra

My damn Cobra is still sitting in my other garage in the same spot it was last Sept. and it's a Convt. Just don't have the time to mess with it. Alot of money sitting around doing nothing + I love driving the 4R.....lol

It just seem's to be kind of a waste , maybe a little test rip would light the spark back up to drive it more.

Not sure yet what to do , wife say's hang on to it for now so I think I'll do that for a little while , and yes it's still sitting in the same spot ....lol.

I'll get it out and atleast clean it up , change oil and do some maint. and ofcourse a few smok'n burnout's.

Thai, Yes then ins. is pretty darn expensive , it's in the highest catagory for insuring. I'm 44 y/o with a clean record , no kid's at home ect... Still fricken expensive , I don't know how a 20 something or younger does it unless they make great money , or have rich parent's.

If you were a little closer I'd propose a trade. My coupe for your vert. Yes the insurance is high, and maybe we don't drive them as much as we want, but don't you just love getting in the Cobra and blasting through the gears on a nice twisty road occasionaly?

The 4R's great, but it's not a drivers machine, it's transportation and off road fun. Sometimes you just have (and I hate to say this) a need for speed. :biggrin2:

It is a damn fun car , no doubt about it. When that blower spools up there is no sound like it . It handles well with the IRS , torque & HP are amazing and really puts a big on your face.

I'd say keep it. I don't know the specific name but does your insurance offer something like a limited miles/pleasure driving only option? Not a solution, but just suggesting this if you don't want to part ways with it or pay high insurance.

I think Haggarty's offers collector car insurance on any vehicle as long as it's garage kept, driven for pleasure use only and gets driven less than 5K miles a year. Compared to regular insurance it's a steal. I've been thinking about it for my Cobra but wasn't sure I could meet the 5K/year requirement. Based on my milage since I bought the car in November I don't think that's going to be a problem and am starting to seriously consider switching.
