Thinking of trading off the 4runner..Advice.

I get on a website called mautofied and just for the hell of it I put my 4runner on there..I have two different people offereing to trade me two vehicles I wouldnt mind having and I cant decide what I want to do..
1. 03 gmc sierra, 88k miles z71 3 inch lit 20 inch rims 35 inch nitto terra tires bose system billet grille it looks really good..

2. 02 chevy tahoe, 95k miles z71 different rims and tires magna flow exhaust KN cai..
I likeboth vehicles and cant deicde..

My 4runner is an 01 limited with 113k miles..fully loaded with everything.I cant deicde what to do..

For me I would probably stick with the 4runner. If I had to trade I would pick the Tahoe.

The bose package is overrated. We have it in our Suburban and it's not worth it.

The 4runner I imagine gets more MPG.
 
There is a good reason those people want to make the trade! of course if you want an unbiased opinion then you probably shouldn't ask on this forum
 
yea i agree with post above. both vehicles are nice and i assume in good condition, but even then are these people trying to get ride of them?


i do like z71 tahoes so i would pick it over the other. i wouldnt trade for the big lifted truck.
 
I'll be more blunt and politically incorrect: why would you want to trade in an incredibly reliable, capable and relatively economical vehicle like your 4runner for an oversized, ponderous, unreliable gas hog?

Big American trucks and SUVs might get really crappy mileage, but at least they are unreliable and don't last very long to boot.

You know what they say, "Big Truck=Little P*n*s".

I wish it wasn't true, but rigs like that are dinosaurs and a waste of money, gas and space on the road unless you have a real reason to need so much space and hauling capacity.

You trade your Runner in for either one of those you will be hating yourself for it, I gaurantee it. Those two are near the end of their life expectancy, I wouldn't trade a Toyota Corolla with 100k miles for those two POS.
 
Sell your 4Runner privately and then buy a Tundra. I would also recommend against getting a domestic. But we all seem to learn the hard way (like I did).
 
Yeah I may just hold onto my 4runner and try to do some stuff to it..Im pretty sure the gas would kill me cause im only 17 and have a part time job..I need some ideas on what to do with the 4runner though.

There is so much stuff you can do to a 4runner.

If paying for gas is an issue I would stay away from a lift.
 
Its not that big of a deal im just a tight wod lol. I thought about a small lift..maybe like 2 or 3 inches with some bigger tires..I want to get some rims too idk what would look really good though..I have some 16 inch trd tacoma rims but I want somethig different..I never even put the tacoma rims on my truck.

Here's my $.02 given that you are early in life: Set your 4runner up for camping/sleeping. Get a used roof rack so you can carry gear and toys such as mountain bikes, kayaks, canoes and skis.

Load up the ipod. Hit the road. See the world, go exploring. Spend your money on fuel and travel expenses, rather than material upgrades to your rig.
 
Are you going to take it offroad? If not get some nice rims that are like 18".

On a side note do you still have those Tacoma rims?
 
Is the GMC a 4 door? GM makes great trucks and SUVs so its sounds like a good deal on either one but your 4r is much much better on gas which will end up being cheaper in the long run. Also, did you check to see if your car insurance would go up if you traded?
