kinda hard to compare medium suv to a full size suv and price points are way different. not to mention std options and optional options are way different.
personally i would stick to practical aspects. do you really need a caddy that the 4runner could do the same. also the caddy is built for the road and 5ft off the road and the 4unner is actuall more capable off the beaten path.

It all depends on perspective and the use. If you plan to offroad in it, by all means don't even think about it. But if it's for local city driving or cross country travelling I think it's a pretty nice vehicle.
Any vehicle in the market is a worthy vehicle. If it wasn't, the mfg wouldn't sell it. You just have to use it accordingly ultimately.
As for the 4runner.... eh just abuse it like there's no tomorrow!

Escalade = Bling Bling Chevy
Like Nodak said, not a good comparison to a 4Runner, they are in different price and size classes.
But even in a comparison, I would choose the 4Runner. I don't see the point of the Escalade. I would choose a Seqouia or a Tahoe if I needed something bigger. I can think of better things to spend money on than a rapidly depreciating status symbol. And if I did, I'd rather have something fun, not a glorified Chevy truck.

I've been looking at them, but I think I would rather the EXT and I have also been looking at the GMC Yukon Denali, I have been looking at what else is out their to buy, I've also looked at the H2 but their just way to heavy and slow, don't really plan to keep them longer then 3-5 years.
