This could be a problem?...

So I've moved on to the front half of my truck to put on my new boss lift kit system from toytech and I've noticed a problem that I'm hoping won't anything serious. I'm aware that it a very crappy picture and I apologize in advance, BUT! The previous owner/owners before me thought that putting these nifty spacers on top would be cool and decided not to coat the bolts in some kind of paint So the nut/ bolt that holds the spacers on the top of these are completely rusted. So, now whe I got to try and unbolt the top half of the coilover all it's doing is spinning but the nut and bolt is not coming off. Does anybody have any suggestions besides penetrating oil cause i've been doing that for about 2 days and this thing still isn't coming loose.

The coilover is held in by three nuts...can you get those off? You shouldn't need to worry about the center one...

If you have the coil over out, you need to use some pliers to hold the shaft below the spacer while you take the nut off...otherwise it will just keep spinning.

I think he is talking about the 3 nuts holding the strut in place are the ones that seem to be stripped and rusted...
I hope he's not spinning the big nut....

If you have the coil over out, you need to use some pliers to hold the shaft below the spacer while you take the nut off...otherwise it will just keep spinning.

The problem with that is the bolt doesn't go completely through it stops halfway between those red spacers so you can't put a socket or a wrench on it. I could probably get ahold of the first one, but then the trouble turns into how the hell am i going to get the back two?

And yes I'm talking the about the 3 that hold the strut in place i haven't touched the one in the center. They aren't stripped they are just completely frozen in place with rust and since I have no way of stopping the bolt from spinning I don't have a way to break it loose unless that penetrating oil works some kind of miracle.

From what I can tell, Your talking about the top hat bolts. The reason they're spinning is they're supposed to be permanently affixed to the underside of the top hat and that weld has broken. I had the same problem. Your going to have to cut them to get the coilover out. We had to use a dremel to get to the back one. It took a while but we got it out. Just went and bought some new top hats and finished the assembly process.
