This Pricing Seems Aggressive!

There is a place near here that seems to be slapping cheap lift kits on 3rd gens and then asking 9k for them. I think they had the black one listed for $11k earlier.

I know a guy who did that for years with Samurais, still does once in a while if he runs across a nice one.
You'd be shocked what people will pay for one of those.

There's a place in Portland OR that is buying up various 3rd Gens, throwing cheap lifts and roof baskets on, and asking insane prices.

The thundercloud is priced about right I think. The others all seem too high. This is based on my knowledge of prices in my area and my area is priced higher than most of the country.

I've never seen a reliable one.
And I used to fix that stuff for a living.

My in laws had one for a while, until they got tired of patching it up.
It was 4 years old and the hard coolant lines on the side of the engine rusted up and started leaking.
New transmission before the warranty was up, and so on.

I think under 10K is pretty reasonable for a no rust at all rig in above average condition with 150Kish miles. I don't understand the prices of Tacoma's, that seems really crazy to me.

You guys should look at the prices of Tacomas in the same areas. Just plain stupid on how expensive they are.

It's kind of like that everywhere. I ended up with a 4Runner because I was shopping locally for a Tacoma. First off, nobody around here ever sells their Tacomas, and if they do, they go for about 3x the price of a similar condition 4Runner.

Since 4Runners are essentially lighter duty, enclosed box versions of Tacos... it was a compromise I was willing to make for the price and availability.

But man.. do I ever dream of ditching my Limited for a similar Rust Free one from the Southern States. You guys are so lucky that you don't have corrosion eating away at your toys.
