This roll bar in our 4runner?

Hey guys this is apparently from a 1st gen runner, think it will work? I've been looking for awhile for one .. This bad boy is 40 bucks. And I know the dimensions to cut it but I haven't seen the double tube before

Do you have a pic? I hear double-tube and I think of a roll bar from a Toyota pickup.

That's for a pickup.

You can tell because the roll bars for the 4Runners are meant to sit over the rear wheel wells, so the front bars are far shorter than the rear bars. Not to mention the design of that one is one meant to sit up against the cab of a truck and not further back.

At that point, you might as well just fab your own...

And yes, it can hurt to try, it can hurt very much when it comes to "trying" roll bars :

I would also say that it's not worth the effort. The nice part with the 1st gen roll bar is that not only is it designed to sit on the wheel wells, but it's also designed to sit inside the cargo area.

But what's not worth it to one person doesn't mean it's not worth it to another!
