Those that have the taco whip..

I have done the taco whip mod. I have the black antenna and when driving in very windy conditions, that thing vibrates like mad. It can get pretty noisy. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes!

Mine whips around in the wind too. Ive noticed that when it gets coated or covered with ice it gets heavy then really oscillates back and forth. Looks like its gonna pop the mount out of the fender @ 70 mph when its coated!

I have the silver one mine and it does fine! I was planning on putting the black on my 96 runner! But i might think twice since you 2 are having problems.

I wouldn't call it a problem. It's just when the wind is blowing about 20-25 mph on top of traveling 60mph sometimes the wind hits that perfect angle to make it vibrate. I didn't know what the h3ll it was the first time it happened and I almost pulled over to check it out. Now that I know what it is, it's fine, and like I said, it's just occasionally in the perfect conditions.

i know i saw it somewhere and ive looked again, but dose anyone have the part number for the taco antenna?

i think where i saw it was in a snorkel install thread, and it also had the part numbers for the taco air duct tube in the finder as well(both of which are needed for snorkel)
