How much lift did you guys get with the Kings?

Did you have to crank them up higher than the default King setting?

I cranked em up to get about 2.5" up front. That was a few turns North of factory. I don't think they ship set up to give lift. That's just a guess though.

What weight coils did yours come with. I told TAP to relay what my build was to King.
So, bumper, winch, armor, and they sent mine with 600# coils. In fact, I said 650#, but said to ask them.

Once I put my winch with steel cable on, I might need to readjust.

I actually only talked to 2 different techs and got 600# & 650# recommendations for my truck, but when the shop went to place the order for 650# the tech told him that he recommended 700# for my setup. I relayed the same info every time, basically exactly what you listed except for skids. The shop called me before placing the order to inform me, but I told them to stick with 650# since that was the last word I got from the last tech I talked to.

I think I'm content right now with that. It sounds like there's quite a few people out there that think their 700# are too stiff, so it would probably be easy to find someone to swap with down the road if they end up being too soft.

My guess is that feel is subjective, even to these techs. On paper, it should be fairly straightforward to determine what coils are best for additional weight. A lot of these rigs start looking like an up-armored HUMVEE. So, for instance, I might tell the guy that I have an AOR front bumper, a winch, and some Savage skid plates. Do you think that someone is doing all the math with the correct numbers? I struggle to think that someone knows what an AOR front plate bumper weighs. Oh, you say you are running a winch? Synthetic or steel line? I think they mostly ballpark it.

The Goldilocks and the Three Bears scenario:

I think that the spectrum from 600#, to 650#, to 700# fits most vehicles that we will find for our 3rd gens. I think the 650#s are probably sitting in the meat of the bell curve. I like how my 600# Kings feel now, but I am not running a winch just yet. If I find that they are not living up to their end of the bargain, I will probably end up with 650# replacements.

The other aspect is use. I might not be pushing it as much as others. I don't have speed dunes here, and I don't like my outdoors at high speed anyway. I am not a big rock crawler guy either. I don't mind trying a bit of everything knowing that my rig can handle it, but I might not be bottoming out regularly. I plan on picking up those wheelers bump stops though. Those look bad ass and will keep you from unnecessarily hard impacts.

It doesn't sound like the techs at King are super consistent as far as build recommendations go though. That's why I like all the perspectives, and why I take them all with a grain of salt. Your harsh might not be my harsh.
