Good to hear of the recent good news and to see all of the kind hearts sending prayers. Add me to that list. I'll be praying for your family.. as well as the others posting up here going through troubles as well.

Thanks again everyone. My dad had a bad day Friday morning, but seems to be doing better. We are hopeful that he will be better soon and be able to go home to stay with my mom. I told my parents after everything gets back to normal they need to go on a long vacation!

My dad retired a few years back after working at a chemical plant for 30+ years and my mom just retired last year after teaching school for 38 years. Due to the health issues with my dad they really haven't been able to enjoy retirement yet, but hopefully soon!

Thanks everyone. That along with some changes at work have made a bad week worse. [MENTION=100310]Brique[/MENTION] sorry to hear about your mom, and [MENTION=84346]BlackCat914[/MENTION] cancer is a horrible thing to deal with hopefully they will be able to help him. Its sure is hard seeing our parents get older let alone adding health issues to the equation.

it sure is, man. I was talking to him this morning on the phone, and the extremely sad thing was he's not so much stressing about the fact he's got cancer, or the fact that he has to have surgery, but the fact that's he's got to get all of the insurance issuses worked out just to make sure he's not stuck with a mega bill on top of a recovery process. I hate to mention stuff like this, but both him and I are both Marine Corps veterans, him being permanently disabled from nearly being killed in Vietnam, and stuff like insurance should be the least of his concern at this point.
