Thoughts on new stripe

After my truck was damaged, Toyota said they can no longer get the stripes for the 2nd Gen 4Runners. They can't find one anywhere, so I will just replace it on my own.

New Stripe

I figured I would just get some gloss white vinyl striping and replace the original design. This is sort of the idea, I rendered this with Cinema4D. The stripe looks light blue, but that just had to do with the rendering process.

Personally, I like no stripe. You could always get a pinstripe kit and pinstripe it yourself (easy to do! I did a short stint in a detail shop, we taught McDonalds dropouts to do it!)

The replacement stripe is ok, maybe just a different colour.

hey i was wondering if you had that stripe done..looks good..the detailer rubbed off part of mine and im looking for a replacement..
let me know $$
thanks

jhinderliter - There is no replacement according to Toyota. They can't get them anymore. I have to make my own.

Gryphon/sharp4runr - Remember, the pic I show is one where I used image software and removed the stripe. If we leave it with no stripe, the green behind the stripe is darker than the rest of the truck and it sticks out, the dealer already showed it to me and you will be able to see it pretty clear.

Thanks for the opinions.

I like the clean look, too. Does anyone know how to remove the stripes without risking damage to the paint?

My '94s paint isn't all that great, would removing the stripe sticker leave an extra-shiny "silhouette" when removed?

We are talking about the graphics stickers that run the length of the car just beneath the windows aren't we?
