Thought's on painting my grill

I was thinking of buying a grill to replace the smoked chrome one. I wanted to get unapinted ( if available ) and have it color matched Galatica Gray to match my truck.

I don't think the smoked chrome look's bad but not an overly huge fan of it and I thought this might set my 06 Sport apart from other's.

I still might do a Westin Safari bar or a T&H Euro bar on the front and was also thbinking of color matching that . Or do you think it would be to blaa with all being the same color ???

Honestly, I can't stand the look of the chrome grill on the 4Runner. If I were to buy an '06 4Runner SR5 or SE, I'd definitely get the grill painted to match, I just think it looks 1000x better.

Well, I think it depends. I have an 06 SE runner and I have it in the Titanium silver and I don't think it looks tacky or unpleasent at all....looks classy almost and almost luxry like. I think its due to the silver pain though...chrome and silver look great together.

It would only cost me for the part. my stepson will paint it for free, he work's for a toyota certified body/paint shop as a painter. He is really fricken good at paint and starting to do custom bike paint too.

Orange, I think on the Silver it looks good .

I think limited 06's have a colormatched grill, so the part is available. My question is, do you want to put money towards a mod to make it look like another stock truck? Maybe you could put up a post for a swap? I would wait for some grill options to come into the aftermarket then make the switch.

I'm so happy I got the Titanium Silver. I coulda waited for a different color. But, If I had waited I wouldn't have been the first 06 4Runner owner off the lot, in the area, or on this FORUM!...So yeah. I mean silver definitely still shines when it's just a bit dirty and I'm really happy about that. I TOTALLY AGREE THAT THE CHROME GRILL REALLY LOOKS A LOT BETTER WITH THE TITANIUM AS WELL!...GOOD CHOICE ON COLOR Orange!

I agree, my 03 is titanium with the color matched grill. Honestly the chrome one looks a little cheezy.

I say the color grille on my silver 4R looks pretty good, the chrome and smoked chrome looks good too. But I wouldn't trade though, sorry. :

But the color grille on the Tacoma looks a bit goofy, mine is chrome because of the Off-Road package.

I have an 04 Silver Limited with the color matched grill, and I would actually like to have a chrome grill.

I think they look pretty good, especially with that color.

Anyone in Washington with an 03-05 chrome grill want to trade?
