I came across a fb posting showcasing this 4runner and some other tacomas and tundras. Who makes this hoodscoop and what do you guys think of it?

The OEM scoop doesn't look like someone draped a rubber welcome mat over your hood. So uh...yeah.

Don't listen to the haters, man. Hood scoops are where it's at. Even a stick on, non functional hood scoop will net you like 50 hp. I swear to God that's true, I read it on the internet!

Another little known trick from the tuner world; stickers. Keep this on the downlow, but did you know each performance part supplier sticker you put on your car or truck will net 5hp each? K&N, Borla, Bilstein, even TRD! And those Autozone fender vents will get you 10hp for each fender! But they have to be the chrome ones, if you screw around and try to make them better with plasti-dip you actually go negative 10hp, so be careful with your mods!!

:thumb:

I prefer the factory scoop, but like someone else said, it's your truck. If it makes YOU happy, nobody else's opinion matters. Unless maybe they're paying for your vehicle and the mods.

Not a fan of Hood "scoops" in general, but this one looks like glue-on fingernails from the Dollar Store.

"If it makes YOU happy, nobody else's opinion matters."
Well, he did ASK for other's opinions.

Personally I don’t like hood scoops unless functional or needed.

All these hood ornaments do is take away from visibility on the trail or road.

Even from a pure aesthetics standpoint, not really feeling it.
