Thoughts on wheel trade..

So I have 285/75/16 pro comp all terrains. I love em but they're on my Stock 16x7 rims. I've wanted some black rims and I love the style of these. I have someone who wants to buy my set up for 1200 ( tires have 1000 km on em). Im guessing these rims are lug centric, I like the price (1400) and the tires are one of my favs. Pllleeeease keep in mind tires are much pricier here

I would do it if I were you. The duratrac is going to be a better tire than the procomp all terrian plus you said you always wanted black wheels so why not get what you want. Good luck man

Totally a personal preference. I would consider just a couple things. Weight and Ideal Performance. With that out of the way, if you like the look more and you want to spend 200 to change it that seems as valid of a reason as any to switch. Plus the wider rim will assist with the larger tire sidewalls. However the factory Alum rims are nice and light. Personally, I'd change if nothing but for the fact of just being psyched about what you have. You have already internally debated this question and now you are just looking for the people from the interwebs blessing... who cares. Do what you want.imp: COUGH! DO IT!

Neither tire is a Duratrac, the new tires are a Kelly Safari despite the tread pattern looking so similar.

With that being said is sounds like you have made up your mind but I would take a few things into consideration.

1.) Spending $200
2.) You are loosing some benefits from a aluminum rim
3.) 10 ply tire can ride pretty rough

Factoring all those in I would say do it and get us some pics!

Ya after looking at the picture I see they are the Safari tire but from what I hear the duratrac and safari tsr are the essentially the same tire.

Looks like a great deal man! I paid $1500.00 for my set of Procomp wheels and Maxxis Bighorns a few years ago... and THAT was a steal!

The Pro Comps are an aluminum wheel.

I'd go for it in a heartbeat.

I'd probably go for that deal, but suggest verifying fitment in advance of committing to the trade/sale. Probably not an issue, but you don't want to discover you have a funky backspacing or rubbing issue.

If they are the 4" backspacing Pro Comps you should be fine, though they will stick out a bit further, which is not necessarily a bad thing. That you are already running 285s, suggests you won't have a problem.

So as usual buyer totally flakes out someone wants to trade me these in return for mine and a little cash. They are 295/75/17.. Maybe too big? That's gotta be close to 35s.. Thoughts? Tires have under 10k on them and are nitto grapplers

I'd be tentative considering the 10-ply, but the wheels are definitely great!
