Threw Down On New Rims For LE - Noob Update

OK, so after my first thread and much research I rolled the dice and put my money where my mouth is. Went to an off road store and consulted with online support and supposedly my wheels will not stick out past fender or rub (guaranteed I was told actually with the set up I discussed). I went with:

My Ride - Gray

Incoming Rims -
Matte Black
20/9
5.5 b/s
0 o/s

YEAH I KNOW WORTHLESS W/O PICS. Rims come in Thursday, should be on rig Friday morning.

Undecided on exact tire, but it will be 275/55/20
TAKING ANY AND ALL SUGGESTIONS ON TIRES (needs to be good highway/snow) :thumb3:

how can you have 5.5 backspacing.. your tires are going to become part of your upper control arm..

The higher the number of the b/s the further out it pushes your rim, not further in. The rim sticks further out since it is a 9" rim vs 7". Going to 5.5 gives the tire more room out to help make up for the wider tire. Not the other way around.

That would be wrong.
A bigger backspace pushes the wheel in farther. With a 5.5 backspace(chevy) 9 inch rim it will sit in 1 inch farther in then the stock 4.5".....................https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html

Yes, I am guilty of late night and reversing b/s :beer: It was the 5.5 that was helping to bring the wheel in as to not stick out past the fender. We will see if there is any rub. Direct said if they rub they will pay for return of rims and cost to mount. We will see about that as well
