Thrid Seat option for 2nd Gen?

When we were looking for our 4Runner, we ran across a '99 that someone had installed a 3rd Party 3rd seat. It was really nice and fit well, it faced backwards and came with full shoulder straps. It even removed without a lot of hassle so you had full use of the back.

Anyone ever see one of these or know where you might get one?

Do a google on third row seats. There are a couple of companies that make aftermarket seats.

I found a place and the seats look just like the one I saw in the older 4Runner.

Wow, they replied back fast!

$798 for a seat with the same pleat pattern as my rear seat, $598 for standard pleat. Both come with two lap belts, head rest and quick release system. $45 for each shoulder harness and $15 for the middle lap belt. $150 for leather.

They say the seats are Federal DOT approved.

We will have to see, that's a lot of $$ for the third seat. We might do it after Christmas. Gotta feed the Christmas monster with the kids you know
