Throttle body part help

Was checking out the for sale area but not a lot of activity there... So I thought I would reach out here.

I need a replacement TB for my 1989 3.0 4runner. ( so says my mechanic) can anyone here assist me. Thanks in advance!

its very rare your throttle body would need replacement, it would have to have been dropped or broken.
i already dont trust this "mechanic"
what are the symptoms of your problem?

like a carb , the throttle butterfly valve has bushings .. these do ware , and will throw off the TPS values

so everyone with 300k miles on there 4runner has replaced the throttle body many times.
i know on all 4 of the 4runners own have never had throttle body bushings go out.
like i said its rare not common. and again symptoms would help because i dont trust mechanics.

There is a miss at Idle. And when I'm at a stop sign it idles so low engine almost chokes out 300 rpmif Iput the truck in park or neutral it OK 800 RPM(but still seems to miss)

Compression is 115 on all pistons. Truck seems to run great other than idle. Very poor gas mileage! 14mpg .

14mpg is not horrible for the 3.0.

ok that sounds like a TPS or a MAF issue vacuum.
could even be a CSI issue.
test all the sensors and make sure they are functioning properly.
a bad butterfly valve would be easy to diagnose you just take it in hand and if the throttle moves up and down then you have a issue if not then its fine.

14mpg is not horrible for the 3.0.

I think it is, but not for a truck with only 115 compression... thats getting pretty low.

Ok, I sold my spare throttlebody/tps to Rick but apparently there different :shrug:

So the issue now is can we make the 95 throttlebody/tps work with his 89?

These are the only pics I have of it.
