Throttle Body Spacer

Has anyone tried using a Throttle Body Spacer?
I wonder if it enhances mid-range performance, horsepower or gas milage as advertised?
I see "Helix" & "Poweraid" make this add-on.
Just wonder if this spacer can do all these wonderful improvments?

All are a joke and do nothing on newer fuel injected motors. 4Runners particularly are direct port injection meaning the air and fuel don't meet til they are in the combustion chamber negating any "spinning" effect that would be produced by those paperweights.

I've seen plenty of independant test that show they do nothing except lighten your wallet. Save your dough for a real mod.

Anybody who swaers they feel the power is just trying to justify their purchase.
