From that thread.. Nice they maybe replaceable. I just snagged 2 01 and 02 throttle bodys in case mine would fail in my 2001

For anybody looking for TPS 89452-35030 4 pin, you can get them at Discount Auto Parts Online -- PartsGeek.com - Domestic & Import Car Parts Warehouse they are about $ 65.00 OEM made by Aisan in Japan.
I had an idle problem with my 2002 4Runner, Installed this part and now the idle is just perfect

The only issue I am seeing is that this is permanently out of stock everywhere with that Part number. :-(

I seen at least two separate threads documenting the Aisan aftermarket 4 wire
replacement sensor W0133-2744128, available many places, apparently. Unless
one simply must have OEM labeled...

If I’m beating a dead horse, I can’t find it….
My throttle response would die and get nothing going to the floor. Than it would pick back up again and be off and on a few times. Than it stops working all the way to 3/4 pedal to the floor and finally gives some response. The throttle response at that point is slow at 3/4 throttle. If the vehicle is off for an extended period of time it seems to just reset itself. But after driving for about 10-15mins it’s back to using 3/4 throttle and forward to get going.

I assumed it was the TPS but after installing a new one, it was completely as if it was never replaced.

I just installed a used throttle body with and it is complete with sensors. This one at first start was immediately 3/4 throttle gets my RPMS moving. Does the TPS or ECU need to be re programmed?

Again if it’s been discussed please point me to it as I have searched.

No programming needed. The TPS does need to be installed a certain way though so be sure it is engaged correctly if you swapped it out. It's either right or wrong, it's not like the older Toyotas where the TPS and idle could be altered by rotating the sensor clockwise or counter-clockwise. The ECU will quickly adapt to the new sensor in one drive.

I think this might not apply but it is worth saying, only use Toyota OEM TPS sensors. Aftermarket ones cause issues.

I appreciate it, seems to be the Pedal position sensor and not the TPS. Even though i found a used throttle body, that sensor is also not working. Back to the drawing board.
