How do you like the basket? I am torn between the thule and the yakima loadwarrior. Do you hear any wind noise or can you tell it is up there at all when driving?

I have not given it a thorough wind noise test. My 4Runner runs up miles on long vacations and is normally garaged. This weekend I will get out on the freeway to head over to Mt Baldy so I'll report on my findings. It has an "aero" look but who knows if it is efficient.

I also picked aluminum as I don't have to worry about rust and I think that the finish looks better with my truck's paint color.

The Load Warrior weighs about the same as my rack so it won't detract too much from your total weight limit of the rack.

Was out driving quite a bit today and here are my observations:

Below 70MPH nothing noticed
Some noise starting at 75 MPH
Definite noise at 80 - 85 MPH but from the back area which to me says that the inside of the rear section is presenting a 4" - 6" "wall" to the air flow. It might take a simple ramp on the inside of the basket to smooth the air flow when there is no cargo. I am thinking that it could be hinged and spring loaded so that when cargo is dropped in it will be flat. Another project.... :D

Otherwise no whistling or rattling.

Thanks for the report.
