I recently purchased my 06 4runner sport v8 from Roseville Toyota about 3 weeks ago and it came with a 3,000 miles/3 months powertrain warranty on it so lately I've been experiencing what most people experience with their 4runner is the drive shaft thunk/bump. I took it to Toyota on Wednesday to let them know about the problem. Later, the service advisor called me and said there technician didn't find anything so I told them, i am positive there is a problem so they told me to take their shop foreman on a road test with me so I did and when i was driving it with the shop foreman in there, it wasn't doing it anymore until we came around the corner to the dealership where there was a stop sign and it finally did it once so the shop foreman agreed that it was the drive shaft binding and he said it just need to be greased so when we got back to the dealership, he greased the 5 zerk fittings that was on the drive line. After that, i drove home and everything was fine til the next day, it started doing it again. What do you guys think i should do? bring the runner back to the dealership and complain about it?
