Tick Tick Tick Sound

Whats up guys. Ive searched and searched on this issue im having. I think i have it figured out but i just wanna ask you smart gentlemen. I have a tick tick tick sound. I think it may be an exhaust leak, possibly manifold. It is steady and it increases as my RPMs increase, so when i give it throttle the sound speeds up. Thing is its rarely making the sound when its cold but once it warms up its very noticeable. I thought maybe valve noise but im not sure. The noise started after a recent oil/filter change and adding a lil seafoam to the gas tank to clean my injectors. How can i tell for sure its an exhaust leak if thats what i have? Sounds like valve tick to me. If you could post a video that would help a lot. Have you checked the oil level. I can get a little valve tick when its low, put about half qt in and it goes away. But mine is noticeable when cold since the oil is all at the bottom of the pan, once it runs for a minute or so it would go away.

Im having 3rzfe however the concept of valves is the same on 5vzfe.
Mine had the same issue (almost) not tick when cold but after warmed up it wad very clear and annoying. (but disappears when putting some throttle)

I did the valve job myself and adjusted five exhaust valves which were tight. Result: tick tick sound dissappeared.

My engine symptoms when valves where tight: (maybe can compare to yours end tells if its relevant)
1. When revving RPM above 3500rpm engine vibration increases + reaching 5000rpm taking longer time. (im manual transmission)
2. When vehicle decreasing speed (foot of pedal) exhaust sound says smooth: bom brom bom bom. (you know what i mean) (however same sound can be generated due to working but imperfect O2 sensor)
3. Generally if you driving above 3500rpm you will not get enough power and efficiency that you are deserving. (a normal 4Runner owner can tell by heart that he is under power regardless knowing the reason or not.

Symptoms after valves adjustment:
1. No more tick tick or very rare as could not bring one of the valves to .30 and kept it .35. (engine having 240,xxx never rebuilt so that's normal.
2. Engine revs up to redline smoothlly without any feelings that being abused.
3. Fuel economy enhanced.
4. Engine generates less heat. (can tell from the fan sound)
5. Driver feels better and confident as knowing the mechanical status.
6. Most important: Bonding between vehicle and driver strengthened. (normal 4Runner owner can feel/communicate with his horse)

Thanks for the reply guys. Ill try and take a video of it and post it up this weekend. Ive changed the oil myself plenty of times and always made sure the level is right so i doubt its that. The sound only presents itself once the engine is warm. You can barely hear it when its cold. Also it is steady with the rpms at all throttle positions. It increases as the rpms increase. Last year i changed both o2 sensors. When i first bought the truck 4 years ago it had a leaking valve cover so i pulled both valve covers and replaced the gaskets, half moon clips ect... If need be ill adjust the valves i just wanna be sure thats what it is before i dig into that. Ive got a 3 year old boy and 9 month old girl and free time to wrench is getting harder to come by these days. Thanks for all the input. Ill try and post up a video this weekend.
