'ticking' sound when rev up engine 93 4Runner

I just bought this 93 4runner v6 and I have notice a slight 'ticking' sound when I run the rig. Could this possibly be the timing or something else? The head gasket, timing belt, radiator have all been replace on this not too long ago (like 10000KM). Looking for help.

The fuel injectors will tick as you rev the engine...

Not too load, just a slight ticking....

then its normal as long as it dosent get louder like the other guy said the fuel injertors are relly loud and they make a ticking noise. Thats just what I think

You guys tell me if im wrong but i think it could be the valve. Cause my brother has a 94 toyota pickup and he had some work done to the motor. the guy who was working on it never got the timing with the valve or something right with it. So when you step on the gas you here a ticking sound.

exhaust leak ? i think toyota motors are just noisy

Usually the valves have a lower pitch (like a knock) and the sound will change as the engine warms up and the metal expands. Listen when the engin is cold and warm, if injector sound will not change as the engine temp changes. The valves rockers do not have a screw adjustable rocker but shims that you need to get from the dealer.

Sounds like your valves need to be adjusted.

Mine do and they sound that way. Couldn't hear it over teh squealing of the belt pulleys and tensioners until I replaced all of those. Now it is real obvious.
