Tie rod dust boots

Any drawback in buying Moog vs. OEM ?

I bought OEM inner and outer tie rods but not sure whether it is paramount to use OEM boots?

Peeps that are using non OEM boots, if they can provide some feedback in regards to durability and longevity that would be great.

Boots for the outer tie rods or the steering rack?

If you're talking about the power steering rack bellows, it really shouldn't matter because that boot is under very minimal stress. It would have to be made out of the shittiest of rubbers for it to go bad on you.

Tie rod boots are typically integrated and non replaceable. Energy makes tough polyurethane generic replacement boots. Although those boots are tough, it's only good if you've got a greasable joint because they are slip on only so the joint needs to be purged periodically.

Go with oem. Lower quality aftermarket bellows will only save you a few dollars. Not worth the risk, imo.
