Tighten lift gate?

Is there anything I can do about a speaking and rattling sound in my lift gate?

Is there anything I can tighten or adjust back there, and if so how do I do it?

Thanks

Nobody?

Am I the only guy out there with a squeaky lift gate?

I haven't had it yet... I read a thread where lubing the seal with ArmourAll or similar and a bit of lube on the hinges took care of it. That's not 1st hand advice though it's just something I read here and it seems to make sense. Hope that helps:D

Instead of ArmourAll, use silicone lube on the seal.

Could it also be the rear seat latch noise others have had rather than the rear door?

Try removing your license plate and take it for a drive. (put the plate in the window or you will be pulled over) I noticed this about mine, after looking around it is the plate and the plastic ring around it making the noise. If this is the case, put some silicone in between the plastic ring (if installed) and the plate when installing. Also try putting a thick bead on the back side of the plate on the bottom and let it dry before installing.
