Tighten the rear lift gate?

I've had a squeaking sound coming from the lift gate for quite some time now, although it is somewhat intermittent. The couple times I've had it at the dealership I wasn't able to re-create the noise for them. When it does it, I sometime ab able to just open and close the gate again and it goes away, sometimes it remains.

It seems like something needs to be tightened, but I'm not sure. Is there anything back there that I can tighten, and if so how? I looked and nothing jumped out at me, hoping you guys can help.

I had the same problem. I don't think that the tailgate needs to be tightened. What I did was just dab a little dielectric grease (there are probably better lubricants to use but that is what I had laying around) on all of the contact points where the tailgate meets the body of the car. Then I put a little WD-40 on a shop towel and wiped down the latch and the shock struts. I don't know what exactly was squeaking, but I think it was the dielectric grease that did the trick.

I'll try the grease, but no input on tightening anything back there? I thought I'd seen something about it a long time ago...
