Tightening 22re Crankshaft pulley bolt

Need some help getting that thing tight. I've got it to about 95/100 but it's supposed to be 116ft/lb

I had no trouble getting it off, starter bump method, nor taking off the pulley. The oil pump had bee leaking for so long that everything was lubed up.

However on the reinstall I'm struggling to figure out how to hold the pulley/motor from turning over.

I've read that it'll tighten up over time on it's own, but I'm not about to destroy this motor by taking a chance.

I didn't pull the radiator and condenser or I'd just use my miluakee impact gun.

I don't have a pulley holder, don't have an angle impact gun, and am not sure what else to try.

I got it to the torque I did by putting it in 5th gear and in 4high with parking brake on and wheels blocked.

Am I thinking wrong should it be in reverse or low gear? 4 Low?

Gotta get this thing out of the driveway soon. We're going on day 4 but need to move it in a day or so. Luckily have some welding and parts to swap while I figure it out.

Should have gotten the pulley holder, you'd be done with your project. Having the correct tools before you start is always good planning.

I'm realizing that now, but none of the guides, walkthroughs or videos I watched even mentioned that, it was always just tighten the crank pulley which made it sound like there wouldn't be any issue. Now here we are without an easy way to get one for a few days so figured there must be another trick given this motor has been around for as long as it has.
