Time, not distance between oil changes?

I'm curious whats the common ground for the duration between oils changes. I have a 97 with 115k miles that I use as a secondary/camping vehicle. I've owned it for 5 months and only put about 1k-1500 miles on it. I usually drive it maybe once a week. It currently has Mobil 1 full synthetic in it and wonder how long can you go between oil changes if you don't put a lot of miles on it?

I would change it at least once a year.

Yep. Sitting around, freeze/thaw and condensation in general leads to water build-up that occasional use won't burn off. I change my slightly-used tractor in the spring so I get rid of the H2O that builds up over the winter.

Excellent, thanks for the replies. I try not to let it sit too long hence why I try to drive it at least once or twice a week.
