Time to add another mod....

SportRunner

Well I'm gonna have to add a car-seat to the 4runner.........my wife and I are expecting our first child come April......we're both really excited, and we have two great cars for the job, my 06 4runner and she has a 07 toyota camry, so both are roomy and have plenty of trunk space for all the gear....:biggrin2:

Congratulations Mister Father-to-be!!

Since you still have time for the baby to arrive. Go do lots & lots of research & actually checking out baby seats & strollers.

I was watching the news, where KTVU news was doing a Consumer Report on strollers. Their test was when going down a set of stairs w/ a stroller, one model actually collapsed together. You don't want that when a child is in there.

Sorry...I don't remember what model.

I'm not a father, but my friends are. I highly recommend the liners for the baby bottles, they are more sterile & heck of a lot easy.

Congrats to First-Time-Daddy-2B.
Car seat will be the best mod to your 4runner. Do you have any preference? Boy or Girl? I have 2 boys and they are they best thing ever happened to me.

Congrats again...

Thanks guys......I'd love to have a little girl but will be totally happy with either......just can't wait to find out, plus it could be twins, runs in her side of the family......she'll find out that later this week..... I know it would be a handful but I'd love to have twins.....

I think next year will be a BIG BABY YEAR on this forum!!

Congrats to you and your wife...i know how excited it can be!!! You guys need to get out and enjoy NOW...like going to the movies, traveling, etc..

Congrats on the news...that is awesome! And having a daddy's girl is the best thing in the world. We are having our second in February. Of course I would love a boy but as long as the baby is healthy I will be a happy dad!

The other response about the researching strollers is 100% true, but hopefully your not pushing the stroller down a flight of stairs! Most of the stuff out there is good and you get what you pay for...so rregister for the good stuff and take advantage of other people buying stuff for you!

time to start building a new "rig"

I was thinking something like this....

Dude these things have 4x4 now or monster traction.....

No were really excited as well as the rest of the family, this is the first baby of my generation on my whole side of the family....so this baby is gonna be spoiled, probably not gonna get the moniters right away, but will probably be getting them after the first couple road trips.....thanks again everyone;):

Congrats! Thats so exciting. I am liking those FJ power wheels. Pretty sweet. Gotta start the kids off early!

Congrats!! Are you nervous?? My wife and I plan on having a baby soon but not sure when.

Nope, we planned it and I was just surprised it took on the first week try......we decided that theres no good or bad time to have a baby so we talked about it for a year and finally decided it was time so my wife stopped drinking two months prior, started to eat healthy, started exercising, and took prenatal vitamins.....then started, you know, the week she was ovulating and the rest is history.....we're both at a good age, my wife will be 29 and i'll be 30 so we feel its about time.....her hCG levels aren't too high so I think that we won't be having twins, maybe next time.....

wow, congrats....are you guys excited??
i think our parents are more excited than we. the scary part is our age being in the late late 30's, she needs to be very very careful. we planned to have the due date around april because it's not too cold, not too warm either. remember winter can be darn ugly here:

car seat will be in her 4th gen most of the time, Rav4 is my DD. she hates ride in my lifted 99, by the way it has been in and out of commission but most of the work are done.

i just had the steering pump re-built, couldn't believe how simple it is, i should have done it last year. all i left for me to do now is to put it back on some time next week, my cousins and their kids are visiting us from cali.

Congrats and you know what's crazy I have an 06 Runner and my wife has an 07 camry. I have a little girl and these cars are a great combo to have. That camry trunk is huge and very useful. Highly recommend the Britex carseat and a McLaren Stroller, they fold up pretty compact.
