Time To Spend Some $$$ Let's Hear Your Thoughts

So i've had my 4Runner about a month now, and it's proven itself worthy after the flexplate replacement. So I shall pull the trigger on some buying some "goodies" & general replacement parts.

The list AS OF NOW: (Very easy to change)

Tires:
-Toyo Open Country A/T 265/75/R16 (Purchased & arriving today)

Suspension/ Steering:
-Bilstein 6112 front setup, 5100/ OME 2906 in the rear. (In Cart Ready to Buy)
-OEM Upper & Lower ball joints. (Need Source)
-Outer & Inner Tie rods (Need Source)
-Sway bar end links (Need Source)
-UCA & LCA Bushings & Sleeves (Need Source)
-Steering Rack Bushings (Need Source)

Is there anything else I should get while i'm ordering/ replacing all these parts?

The radiator looks to be in great shape, it definitely is not original, and the coolant is good ole' toyota red. Good thoughts though. I might swap it when I add a radiator for the transmission.

I'll check out amazon, Thanks!
 
go OEM on suspension parts.

big question is what has been done. first thing comes to mind is timing belt/ waterpump.

one thing I try and do is when I do bigger matainance I do something that I can feel the effects of. Change a waterpump, fix the cover of the center console. That way it makes driving it a little nicer and feels like I have done something good when I drive it. and dont forget the fluids that never get changed, differentials, transfer case, ect. If you dont know when they were done do it . not too hard and pretty cheap
 
With that suspension setup, consider longer sway bar end links.

Put front ones in the rear and put some 90-95 T4R links from rear into your front. That will level out your sway bar nicely.

For $85 bucks and peace of mind, it's worth it. I've not done mine either, but it's at the top of the list. Just trying to figure out if I should go OEM or NAPA Auto.

The maintenance done on the vehicle was on par. Nothing over, maybe a little under par honestly.

I was told by the previous owner the water pump, timing belt, thermostat, & valve cover gaskets have been replaced.

I personally swapped the diff fluids, (which had perfectly clean oil in it, so I haven't done the transfer case), changed the spark plugs with NGK-R's along with the wires. There are a few other things I did like fix the back window, wiper blades, etc...

The OEM parts I usually end up shopping Olathe, Conicelli, ToyotaPartsDeal and a few others and compare shipped cost for my whole cart. The local Toyota dealership will beat (not by much) the total shipped to me price so I usually try to support them.

Thanks! That's actually where i'm getting my bilstein parts, and I have that kit in my cart. Just wanted to hear ALL the options before pulling the trigger.

Did he say at what mileage the belt was changed? Person I bought from said it had been done recently. I pulled the cover and checked the belt visually. no cracks and felt supple. I can only hope they changed the tensioner and pump at the same time.
 
X2 on the diff breather mod. I just did mine after I replaced the rear wheel bearings, seals, shoes, etc.
Power steering rack guide upgrade is a breeze and inexpensive.
IMO for piece of mind, just change the TB/WP/etc. ~250$(Amazon)
Olathe Toyota is great. So is Camelback. Check Amayama for OEM parts too.
 
For added peace of mind, I recommend replacing your stock plenum with a positive displacement screw-type supercharger. Allows passing at higher rates, which without it can be a cause of great frustration and could lead to road rage and eventually someone getting killed. Don't be that guy, just supercharge it and avoid going to jail for life.
 
For LBJ go OEM. They're $100 each
I was going to replace upper joints but I ordered some UCA instead since my rig is lifted and I needed them anyways.
