I would say "none of the above" -- but will probably end up having to hold my nose very hard and pull the lever for McCain. He is probably far from the ideal candidate by any means, but is probably less of a threat to our national security and economic prosperity.
As one punster said locally, we have the choice between Curious George, an evil witch and a dirty old man.

I don't know. I don't want to get too polictical here but, we have our first black or women nominee and McCain is his own man, good or bad, he has his own thought and he tends to work with the other side.Jeff Kleb said:

Maybe Osoma Bin Laden will come out again like he did last time and talk about the race.

The worst part about this campaign altogether is how each person says what "they will do for us" or "how another government program will help somebody" ------- but nobody at all is mentioning anything about freedom, individual liberty or personal responsibility. When is the last time any of them gave more than mere lip service to our Bill of Rights? Sheesh!
No matter who will win in November, government will grow in size, scope and cost; taxes will end up being hiked, the deficit will grow (as will our national debt), freedoms will be curtailed, our national sovereignty will be weakened and our Second Amendment will be slowly eroded even further than it already has.

When was the last time this was not the case? Not since I've been old enough to vote. It's always "which one sucks less?"
Our two party system, where there is no real difference between the parties, is the problem.
People say they don't want to waste their vote on a third party candidate. At this point, I refuse to waste my vote on these Rep/Dem frauds.

I just know I'm not voting for any Republican since they've done such a number on this country for the last 8 years and we need change and McCain and Hillary will be still for big business and continue to be a war mongerers. I say give the younger guy a chance since McCain is just so out of touch with anybody under 50 years old.

I'm surprised so many think McCain will win. I just can't see Repubs getting in again.
I don't share who I vote for with most folks, but I can tell you that:
1. I won't feel safer, and its virtually a lock that more and more non violent criminals will be locked up for 10 years and come out as violent criminals while we spend more and more money on locking people up.
2. Government size will increase, taxes will go up, gas prices will continue to rise, and overall, nothing will "change" that will noticable to the American public.
3. The war in Iraq will continue through the next presidental term, and our friends, brothers/sisters, father/mothers will still be sweating it out in the desert.
4. Wages will remain stagnant.
5. The economy will continue to globalize.
6. College will be unaffordable, and continue to get worse and worse.

If McCain does win, it is going to be because he "sucks less" than the Democrat nominee. Keep in mind that Hillary and Obama are both borderline socialists who are not going to do anything positive for the nation and will move us more and more towards some type of authoritarian regime.
They "know what is best" for the rest of us, you know!
No argument there! Maybe that is why I find myself in more and more agreement with the Libertarian Party - even though they don't have a chance of winning in November. Nonetheless, I am still a member and support furthering individual liberty and personal responsibility -- both areas neglected or ignored by both the Reboobligans and Dummycraps.

With more and more "non-violent" people taking up space in prisons & jails, that means that more and more of those nice muggers, rapists, murderers and child molesters will be paroled or released early since there is less room for them. Whom do you fear more, the local junkie or the twit who is stalking your daughter?
Unfortunately, you are right. Bigger, larger and more intrusive government policies have caused much of the current problems, but more than enough people are going to vote for more government programs to fix the ones that already went bad.
Roger that! Even if Obomber or Hitlery take the White House, it will be revealed that getting out would be "too tough" and that we must still maintain a presence in the Middle East ad infinitum. Obviously, McCain will keep us there - but at least he is honest about doing so.
Yep, and further government efforts to "solve" the problem are only going to further serve to exacerbate it. Just look at what always happens to college tuition every time some government program comes along to make things "more affordable" for students. Sheesh!
As a nation, we don't really have much of an 'energy policy' -- and most people do not understand that a true, free-market (with less government control & regulation) approach is the only way to bring available petroleum supplies up to the current level of demand. It is unfortunate, but the level of economic education in our country is dismal at best.
