Timing belt and what else?

I am going to have the timing belt done on my 2001. What else should I have them do while it is apart. I intend to have them do the water pump and flush/fill of coolant and replace hoses. It is a 2001 with 76K but I bought it in 200 so it's got 8 years on the belt and hoses. Anything else I should consider. I do all the other routine maintenance stuff myself so plugs, wires etc are done.

76K is pretty premature for hoses IMO. Whenever I am doing a tbelt I usually do drivebelts at the same time and a w/p only if it needs it. A coolant flush is not needed and I feel flushes in alot of cases cause more harm than good. Honestly the factory doesnt even recommend the tbelt till 90K. The stealers try to tell you it is supposed to be every 60K. LIES!! The belts hold up pretty good and I personally wouldnt have a problem waiting till 100-115K myself. I dodnt do the belt on my lexus till 110K and it still looked good then

How much?

my 1996 4Runner has 159000 miles, how much should I expect to pay for a Tbelt and water pump? I live in northern California.

If you are just buying the parts you will be spending $100- $200 for tbelt, belts and w/p. Most shops charge $300-$400 total parts and labor to do it. Where in norcal? I charge $150 labor to do those

I live in Modesto. So, besides the tbelt, the w/p and belts, what else would I need to buy?

2 gallons of coolant. That should be it for the tbelt and w/p replacement
