Timing Belt Change Kit

Hey all,

I've got to have the timing belt/pump/etc. changed on my T4R; I just recently bought the truck at 110,000 miles, and the previous owner had not had the work done (I did use that fact to hammer him down on the price :wink2: ).

I haven't the time, sadly, to do this myself. My mechanic was kind enough to quote me a price for labor alone if I get the parts myself, though. WITH parts, he wants $1100, but the labor alone comes in at $450, so I'm seeing if I can't save some dough by sourcing the parts. I could use some help making sure that I get everything right and from good suppliers, though . . .

I found THIS on ebay. Thoughts? Do the parts look to be from quality vendors and such? Is it everything I need, or is this set missing something? I know I need to supply antifreeze for the job as well. Will I need to get him anything else?

Thoughts and tips are greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Not sure who made this kit but when I did mine I only used oem factory parts. To much time invested to have a cheap water pump fail in a couple of years or a china quality belt fail.

Thanks for the links and info, gentlemen! Paraordinance, I'm thinking your kit looks better, simply because it is more specific about the individual parts and their numbers/suppliers. . .

Certainly, anybody who could chime in with experience or pointers about those ebay kits, the input would be greatly appreciated. Anybody know who actually makes the OEM parts for Toyota? I'm assuming that Toyota outsources those parts to smaller Japanese vendors, no?
