Timing belt question

I'm moving overseas to Italy and am forced to sell my '98. Every caller I get about the vehicle they ask if the timing belt has been replaced. Is the timing belt that common of a problem? I've only owned the truck for a year and I've never had a single problem with it. Any way to know if it has been replaced? This is on a 3.4L V6 and 165k on the clock.

Timing belt & water pump is a normal wear & tear item when it comes to an older vehicle, especially w/ a vehicle w/ a lot of miles.

Potential buyers are just curious, because it will be one thing less they need to spend money on to replace.

The actual timing belt & water pump doesn't cost much, it's just the extensive labor behind it, that's expensive.

shouldnt there be a sticker saying the date and millage when the timming belt was replaced? like on the timming cover?
