Maybe I'm just out of the loop but I was about to rewatch the transmission filter video (doing it today) and came across their comprehensive website.

We were asked if we wanted to place ads on our website and the answer was no. We want people to use it and not scare people away from it. It's just another way people can find our content. However, we do use ads on our videos. We are providing a valuable service to people and the cost for access is dealing with the annoying ads. Our videos have saved people hundreds to thousands of dollars in labor costs, allowing people to do their own work to avoid the high labor rates shops charge, so I don't think we are asking too much of our audience to have to deal with the ads.
