tint removal

i have some old fading dark window tint that i want to remove. is this something that i can do eaisly myself? does anyone have any success or nightmare stories in this arena?

Pull off as much as you can by hand first if there are any loose edges.

Then a sharp razor blade and lots of window cleaner. Soak down the window good with the cleaner, and use the blade to clean off the film/glue. Use a new blade as an old one could scratch your glass.

For windows with defroster lines or built in antennas, use a steamer to remove the film. You could rent a steamer from Home Depot.
