Tiny rust spot

I have a spot on the rear hatch that somehow got dinged and is starting to rust. It's just a tiny pin point spot. How can I fix it? I was going to clean up the rust and try to find some touch up paint. Where can I get something that matches my 2004 silver?

Langka or stealership. The stealership comes in like a marker but use it like a fine pen. Make your choice.

That's a good link. Right now because its so small I am going to use some of my gun cleaning supplies to remove the rust and just try touch up paint. If it comes back I will use the pencil eraser approach.

The only true way to get rid of rust is to cut it off. Depending on how much penetration it's caused so far, I'd sand it down as much as possible on and around the spot, then primer, sand down again to smooth, then touch up paint, wet sand if necessary, and a bit of clear coat on top if you want. Make sure to let each stage cure properly between primer and touching up. Usually 12-24 hours and try to do in a hot environment. (I turn up the water heater temp in the garage overnight, so it cures quicker and properly. Hope this helps. Good Luck
