Tips on buying old land cruiser

I just saw today that one of my neighbours has a toyota j40 or something in his backyard. I havent had a good look at it, but I might want to inquire about it for a project (doesnt look like it has gone anywhere in a while). I'm just wondering what I can expect to pay for it, and what to look for
