Tire Deflators...?

Has anyone found a better deflator for the price other than the ARB? I was going to order the ARB til I read that it pulls your stem out, can't afford that to happen when I'm on the beach below the high tide mark in the middle of the night. Amazon has it for $40...

It does unscrew the stem but it's isolated and can't go anywhere. The way it works is you screw the end on the valve, and then there's a little part on the deflator the grabs the stem and you unscrew it. Lets the air out through a venting system. Of course, this is how I'm pretty sure it works. My friend has one, I don't. I just have a stem puller and I'm careful not to lose it

A lot of the guys down on the beach run a DIY method of a locking tire chuck and some sort of safety valve. Some use a poppet valve, but I'm not sure how easy it is to find one in the 15-20 psi.

I think there's another thread about these bouncing around - I've never used anything else, but I really like my trailheads. I don't do the "drive off with them attached" thing, but they're fast enough I don't need to.

I use the ARB deflator.. if you actually deflate down to 15 psi frequently the stauns take a long time. Works great, takes me probably 30-40 seconds a tire to screw it on and deflate it.. there is another company that actually makes these and they are much cheaper than ARB.. like 20$.. can't think of the name though.

The deflator similar to the ARB is the Currie ez-Deflator. That's what I'm going to be getting!

I dont have 2 hours to deflate tire. Using a key/pen to push the valve core in with 35's at 40 psi and try to get them at 10 would seriously take 10 minutes a tire.

A valve core puller is pretty cheap. you can get them for $1 or less

i start by pulling all the cores.
by the time i finish with the 4 one, the first is just about ready. then i go put them all back it. and fine tune.

also, ive learned with my tires, when they start to whistle, thats right about 10psi. so just right for my initial air down.
